Strengthening Impact: Inspiring Futures Theory of Change Meeting at Aston University

5 Jun 2025

On 5th June, the Foundation’s education and charity partners gathered at Aston University’s Conference Centre for a pivotal Theory of Change development meeting, led by the National Foundation for Education Research (NFER). This collaborative session brought together Inspiring Futures’ stakeholders to develop an evaluation framework that will ensure the programme will drive meaningful, measurable outcomes.

As the UK’s leading education research organisation, NFER is playing a crucial role in shaping the evaluation of Inspiring Futures. Their expertise in creating evaluation frameworks will ensure that the programme can track progress, refine strategies, and maximise positive outcomes for students.

The Theory of Change meeting was more than just a discussion—it was a milestone in ensuring that our education and charity partners work collaboratively and have a shared understanding of and input into the final TOC model.

Inspiring Futures is dedicated to breaking down barriers for young people from low-income families, pairing schools and colleges from across Birmingham with leading evidence based charities who will provide support for a range of activities including; academic attainment, essential skills, post school destinations, mental health and wellbeing.
